If you don’t know what I’m talking about type anything to do with smoking cigarettes in a search engine and see how many times you get tolled to “stop smoking”. You want to know about the advertising regulations of tobacco in a certain country? The answer you get: “Stop smoking!(yes with an exclamation mark). You want to know what a toasted cigarette is? “Stop smoking!” You want to know why everyone is telling you to stop smoking? The answer: “Stop smoking!”
For heavens sake, what is up? Has non-smoking become a religion?
And even more peculiar, why is it that the most self-righteous non-smokers are former smokers?
Thank you Oceanis and Camccoy at least you have some sense of empathy so I know I’m not just crazy.
Lost whale, after reading all of that, the answer that you decided to give me in a round about attempt was what? Stop smoking? Very nice. Let me ask you something. Did I even mention whether or not I smoke? You claim that “they” are only being helpful because they care about me. Do you think your answer was the most helpful. If “they” really wanted to be helpful, they would not make the situation of addiction worse by making smokers hate non-smokers and closing them off to any information to do with quitting smoking. Please if you are reading this and you are one of “them” listen as carefully as you want smokers to listen to you. YOU ARE NOT HELPING. SHUT THE FnCK UP! sincerely and seriously. BTW I have not rated any answers on this page.
Ok seriously that was way out of line. I am a smoker and haven’t had a smoke for three days. Please understand and forgive didn’t mean to be so irrational. LMAO at myself, if ever there was a better argument to convince people not to smoke other than all the crap I’m talking. Yes people don’t smoke it makes you say stupid stuff when you’re not puffing.

Everyone’s saying to stop smoking because of all the health problems you can get from smoking. They’re not being self-righteous, they’re trying to be helpful because they’re concerned about the health of society. It’s your choice if you want to accept people’s help or not.
I can understand your thoughts. I’m not a smoker, but yes, for the past 10 years smokers are treated like criminals !
It’s so funny to see companies’ smoking rooms, or outdoor areas where colleagues are packed, with no chairs, stay outside in hot ‘n cold weather, yes, it’s like they are being punished like kids !!!!!
Boy I’m glad I don’t smoke !
I definitely agree with you! Let me tell you the latest that happened to me: I’m 48 years old, and have been smoking for 36 years. I’ve diagnosed with cancer, and was sent to an oncologist to find where it is. I’ve been running all kind of tests to include several MRIs , one of them of my lungs, which showed perfectly healthy lungs. The doc was disappointed, and he told me that I must stop smoking, when I asked him why, he said “as a prevention” My reply to that was that I wasn’t seeing him, and paying him, as a preventative doc., but as a cancer doc. He told me to go back in three months because the cancer is there but they can’t find it. What a bunch of BS.
